_HISTORY:

The events of Revelator pick up where Sign left off, with the team searching for Elphelt and a way to save the world. Elphelt and Ramlethal’s “mother” turns out to be Ariels aka the Sanctus Maximus aka the Universal Will, who wants to destroy all of humanity. Her planned method of doing this is by merging Elphelt with Justice. Beyond that, Justice is unstable, causing reality-eating ripples through the world. That Man comes up with a plan to foil her by instead merging Jack-O’, a more complete construct of Aria, with Justice in order to restore Justice’s original personality. Ky works on this with Sol, Faust, and others. During this plan, Daryl, the Third King of Illyria, orders a portion of Illyria’s army to stand guard to fire at Justice with everything they have, in case Sol and That Man fail. Leo proposes that Ky and he remove Daryl from office so they can continue with their plan, but Ky refuses. Ultimately Daryl decides that the plan to merge Jack-O’ with Justice isn’t working and decides to open fire. First he offers to transport back everyone but Sol and Jack-O’, so they won’t be harmed in the crossfire. Ky says that he wants to stay, that if Daryl is going to kill Sol he’ll need to kill Ky as well. Daryl ignores that order, and transports Ky as well to his ship. When Daryl opens fire, Axl Low appears to Sol, stops time for him, and allows Sol to transform as he needs to to his Gear form, in order to direct the energy into Justice’s body and complete the meld between her and Jack-O’.

_ABILITIES:
Lightning magic: With his magic he can send projectiles, aim precise lightning bolts, and surround other people with electricity. He can also form an electrical shield around himself.
Healing: Ky is shown to probably be part-Gear, and while it’s not shown what other abilities he has, he is able to heal from multiple gunshot wounds. (It’s also not clear how much he heals, other than enough to not be dead and to walk around and talk again. For other Gears, wounds have been shown to close in real time) This doesn’t make him unkillable, just makes it more difficult for that to happen. He also clearly could be injured, he just recovered from it faster than expected/at all.
Swordplay: Ky is very talented and self-trained in using a sword. His current sword is named Magnolia Éclair II, and Ky can channel his magic through it.

_PERSONALITY:
Ky has a reputation for earnestness and for caring about justice. It’s generally a reputation that he’s earned, first as Commander of the Sacred Order of Holy Knights at age 15, then Captain in the International Police Force at 22, and most recently as one of the Kings of Illyria. Ky’s own views on these matters have shifted over time, however, since he can no longer see the world as being as black and white as he once did. Indeed, in the face of the knowledge that there cannot be absolute justice, an understanding that individuals can matter and a fierce protectiveness of his own family has grown in importance, although Ky still retains a certain idealism and even bright-eyed optimism. He’s big on sacrifice, and has promised to never bow to evil, no matter what it may cost him.

Ky’s family is incredibly important to him. Since he was orphaned as a child during the war, his first real family relationship starts with Dizzy, and the fact that she and Ky fall in love with each other. Ky cannot legally marry her, cannot even let anyone know that she’s alive, since she’s a Gear. And yet he calls her his wife, out of a mark of respect for her and their relationship. They have a son together, whom Ky has a rather strained relationship with at first. Ky names his son Sin, and for the most part gets Ky’s old sometimes-rival and sometimes-friend, Sol Badguy, to raise him. For a period after Sin’s birth, Ky is so concerned about being a good enough king and making sure he gives his life in service that he doesn’t think specifically about the effect his actions have on his son. It’s at the end of Overture and throughout Xrd that those wounds start to heal, that Ky is able to approach his wife, his son, and Sol as an individual, and to have that be accepted.

Ky is generally a very serious person. It’s part of what can make it difficult for him to connect to people, that he reacts so sincerely and intensely to everything. If things are business than he can figure out how to handle them, it’s when they become personal that Ky become less sure of himself. This can be seen in all the circumstances when Ky takes upon himself the burden of responsibility for other people’s lives, with difficulty at the thought of losing them but with resolution — and when he interacts with Sin and isn’t sure how to do so with his own son.

His seriousness is also an advantage to him, because it’s seen throughout Guilty Gear that he is always challenging himself and striving to be better. He adapts and learns new techniques, and if he insists that Sol fight him like he really means it when Sol is capable of killing him, it’s so that Ky can become better, and because Sol has a talent for making him angry. Although he’s matured somewhat from it, Ky still has a temper that can snap and stay that way.

He also has a deep notion of sacrifice. When Daryl says that he’s going to open fire on Sol and Justice and it’s too late for Ky to do anything to remove the man from office, Ky demands to stay at Sol’s side, because he feels responsible and because he thinks his presence will make it more difficult for Daryl to fire, particularly politically. But even that action shows him to still be a bit naive, since Daryl can simply ignore Ky’s wishes and bring him back to the ship anyway.

Ky has been as much legend as man for so long, since he was leading the Sacred Order and carved ‘hope’ into his belt to remind himself that when people died for him, in his place, it was because of that and the least he could do would be to accept that burden, to make an effort to be hope for them, that often times he is a little lost for how to interact with people as an individual. Early in his relationship with Johnny he calls it friendship, even when it’s not much more than two people on opposite sides of the law agreeing to work together because they have goals that align.

Of note is that Ky’s attitude towards technology is generally reflective of his world — where most of it is considered Black Tech and forbidden. Instead, they’re reliant upon magic. The one main exception is the floating nation of Zepp, which Ky considers an ally and has opened his eyes a little to technology, though he still greatly distrusts it.

_SMUT SAMPLE:
Ky might be naive or overly optimistic in a great many different ways, but he’s not one to want others to take care of him. At the age of sixteen he’d been leading an army, and his life hasn’t gotten easier from there. This, on the other hand, isn’t anything other than a sexual encounter agreed upon between adults, and there’s no need to pretend coyness.

Unless this is generally how people have sex in this place, where they don’t know each other well and communication isn’t as easy. But this woman had laughed at him for asking for permission to touch back, so maybe Ky doesn’t really understand what’s happening here. And it’s embarrassing to talk about every step, isn’t it?

So Ky pauses for a moment, although it’s not the topic of the question itself that bothers him. He had assumed they would get undressed in order to do this, and he’s not ashamed of his body, of the muscles and frame that have come from so much training. After that moment he shifts so he can look unflinchingly into the woman’s eyes, his own blue-green ones firm and determined. “You can do anything you want with me. I trust you.”

And then she’s touching him, fingers on bare skin and Ky arches his back without even thinking about the motion. He’s sensitive almost everywhere right now, both because of the effect of the growing need and because of the fact that he hasn’t exactly had much time for sex lately, with everything else that’s been going on.

His thoughts fragment after that, focused on the sensation of the woman’s fingers stimulating him and their closeness. Even if she thinks this boring, Ky doesn’t, and he tries to think through the haze of arousal. The woman is still wearing too many clothes, isn’t she? For all his excitement, Ky’s fingers are steady when he reaches for her shirt.

Her touch is very distracting, and while Ky is generally good at focusing it’s more difficult now than it usually is, more difficult to stay focused on his objectives when his body is reminding him how long it’s been and how good it feels. His body is a traitor that doesn’t care that this isn’t his wife but then Ky has decided himself to let that go on a conscious level, as much as he can.

His hands don’t move from their target, don’t shift to support himself better with her, but stay curled against her shirt as he gasps, as he focuses but on the pleasure, on the stiffening of his cock and the fact that his pants are a barrier more than what he wants. It takes a long moment to recover, and then he’s rolling up the shirt, his thumb dragging against the skin which is revealed. “Give me a second,” he says, although it’s not because he needs things slower so much as that he needs her skin to be fully on display. He unhooks her bra, lets it hang around her shoulders before they peel it off together.

Ky traces his fingers over her chest, cupping her breasts, but his hands move to the woman’s shoulders when he needs to lift his hips to brace himself physically but just as much emotionally. He’s hard enough to justify it, that taking the pants off will make him more comfortable, but it’s still a difficult thing to think about, easier to let her lead that and only then deal with it.

His fingers return to her bare skin, and he slides them downward, letting them brush against the skin beneath her pants. There’s something more erotic about that, clear in the way Ky’s breath catches, the way he stares at where his fingers disappear under the fabric, than in touching skin that’s simply bare to him. He can feel her wetness, the fact that she’s as ready as he is, in her own way, and it’s a heady sensation, to know that he did that much to her, for her.
